What I learned at the reunion...

Catching up with friends after 20 years is a lot to take in. They say all you need to know you learn in Kindergarten...Well these are things I learned after attending a 20 year reunion:
1. Without all of the lunch tables set up, the cafeteria is much bigger than I remember it.

2. Cafeteria food doesn't suck after all...yes, we had the party catered through the cafeteria. (Thanks Peggy!)

3. You CAN drink alcohol (legally) in the cafeteria!

4. You really can marry your high school sweetheart! Way to go Katie & Tom, Marnie & Tom, Adam & Lori, Nick & Linda, and you too John & Karen! (Please let me know if I missed anyone.)

Of all the pics I do have of Adam with others, I don't have one of Lori & Adam. (If anyone has one, can you send it to me? THANKS!)
5. It's still fun to listen and dance to "Hits of the 80's".

6. If you plan on attending an event that requires you to be on your feet for 13 hours...don't wear boots!...(But do wear socks if you plan to take your boots off...at least I did that :)

5. Tony Nogales lives right down the street from me!

What did you learn? E-mail us a comment to this post, and we'll share :)

And the pics keep coming...

Thanks for sending in your pics! We are definately going to do something with them, so you can all enjoy them. We will also be sending out a mass e-mail with specific requests to go along with the photos, so look for that in the next week or so. For now, enjoy!

If you missed out...

I know there was a lot to talk about at our events, and you may not have been able to chat with everyone. And, for those of you who couldn't make it at all...If you'd like to get in touch with us, or mention what you're up to...put a comment attached to this post, and we'll publish it for others to view. It is the safest way to add your e-mail, since regular posts seem to get spam attached to them. I continue to mention the jfkclassof88@gmail.com one because I already get spam on it, so it doesn't matter if it is viewed by all.
You can also continue to comment on older posts too. As I stated before, we will be gathering everyone's e-mail, and we'll get them to people sometime next month.
Someone has also mentioned "Facebook", which would be an idea. We'd just have to get a lot of people to start accounts on their own. Any other suggestions...let us know.

The day after...

I can't believe it's over! We had the best time!!!

We had a few RSVP'd Alumni not attend, and additions at the door. We ended up with 95 Alumni, and a total of 154 guests. For those who couldn't make it, we missed you, and you missed out on a great evening. Although it was supposed to end at midnight, Maari & I left around 1:30 accompanied by the last few guests - Chris, Jeff, John, Dusty, Derek, & Jim.

We cannot express how much fun we had planning, and being there for this once in a lifetime experience! It could not have been the success that it was without all of you that came. We ended up with plenty of food, and the alcohol held it's own too. It was hot and it was loud. (THE BAND WAS FABULOUS!) A tremendous THANKS to "Burien City Ballbangers". YOU ROCKED!

Every bone in my body hurts. I didn't sit the entire day, but it was so worth it! I ended up with just under 300 pictures! Please e-mail us some of yours. I know many of you took quite a few too. I'd like to get as many as I can by September 14th. (You'll find out why a few weeks after that :)

It was great that some of you brought additional memorabilia. I am going to take some time to copy some of the videos to DVD, so we can have those memories for years to come. It was fun to look through the pics too. I hope you all had time to look through them. (If you left anything behind, Maari took them home, and will contact you.)

I had a lot of people ask about e-mail lists so that we can all keep in touch. Once I've absorbed everything that has happened over the last few days, I will gather them all together and figure out the best way to get them to you. Thanks again to all who came from out of the area. It was unexpected, and appreciated that you made the trip.

Although it was a lot of work, I had such a great time, that I would definately do it again. Maybe a little simpler, but, yes...I think I would definately do it again!

We'll keep this blog and our e-mail account jfkclassof88@gmail.com open as long as there remains interest in it. Feel free to send information requests here, and I'll do my best to comply. I would be happy to remain an alumni information liason for our class.

I won't ever forget this experience. Thanks again!
